Traditional sailor's boat shoes, in greased nubuck calfskin. The classic white rubber sole gives these delicate-paced shoes a good grip when walking. In dark brown, unlined and light, to be worn (without socks) with a cream-coloured cotton cardigan with blue piping, a white t-shirt and light blue jeans. A walk at the port with an ice cream in hand, chatting to your friends.
Made in Montegranaro (Italy)
It’s like a glove. The tubular moccasin construction is when the upper forms a leather tube that sits on top of the sole. It’s the definition of softness and flexibility, and feels like having a pair of slippers on your feet.
Unrefined leather goes through the traditional process called “tanning”. And is treated so to prevent it from decomposition or loss in flexibility. Afterwards, the leather is put in a rotating wood barrel with water and dark brown coloring solution for dyeing. Water is then warmed up to 60°C to help the color bind to the leather for a lasting finish.
It’s made with anti-slip rubber, perfect for facing a boat surface; not to mention your everyday life. As the old sailing tradition encourages, the shape of this sole isn’t flat: indeed, it’s got a small heel.
Full grain calfskin, the most external and precious part, undergoes a delicate buffing: this process consists in slightly abrading the leather surface, obtaining a fine velvety effect. The addition of grease gives it a soft and silky appearance, with chiaroscuro giving it a certain ever-changing movement. Each one is unique.
