Description
It's the very particular Derby shoe: both because of its leather and its decoration. It’s for the rock ‘n’ roll gentleman who looks at every little detail when it comes to dressing up. With its tumbled leather and made in Italy Vibram rubber sole, it’s the dark brown shoe with a full brogue design to wear at special occasions.
Construction
The blake construction directly sews the insole and sole together from inside the shoe with a single stitch. It’s the lightest and most flexible choice you can make for classical style shoes.
Color
Unrefined leather goes through the traditional process called “tanning”. And is treated so to prevent it from decomposition or loss in flexibility. Afterwards, the leather is put in a rotating wood barrel with water and dark brown coloring solution for dyeing. Water is then warmed up to 60°C to help the color bind to the leather for a lasting finish.
Sole
High quality and superior durability. Under some of our shoes is the Vibram winter rubber sole, the best in the market. It’s made to walk on any surface, especially outdoors. Rain and snow are no longer an issue.
Material
We combine two types of leather, one smooth and one hammered: both are derived from full-grain calfskin, the outer and most valuable part. The difference? The first one is more natural, without any other finishing; on the second one the grain is modified due to the effect of pressure, in a machine with a bunch of small stones.
